The Dogs Trust is a JHB based NPO that sends scouts into the townships daily to find animals that are abused, neglected, injured or kept in substandard environments. These animals are then removed and rehabilitated at the sanctuary in order to eventually be rehomed. The trust feeds up to 300 township dogs a week and also donates collars, leads, kennels, blankets and shading on a regular basis. Animals under their care recieve ever important vaccinations, sterilisations, deworming and dipping.
Assistance is given from a medical and legal perspective with regards to cases of neglect, cruelty, injury and dog fighting and owners are educated ito better taking care of their pets. To become part of this amazing rescue centre please enquire below. Can’t join but want to help? Please donate.
